dir=\"auto\">I was born\u00a0 on Feb 5 1955 in Alwa, Eastern Uganda, East Africa<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">My parents\u00a0 believed\u00a0 in equal\u00a0 opportunity for all their children, so I was given a chance of getting\u00a0 educated.\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">In 1979,against the culture\u00a0 that was against\u00a0 education\u00a0 of a girl\u00a0Child,I graduated\u00a0 from Makerere university\u00a0 in Uganda.,attaining\u00a0 B.A and a Dip.Ed majoring in English Language\u00a0 and Literature<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Then I got my three daughters\u00a0 and ended\u00a0 up a single parent.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">I was determined\u00a0 to give this girls the best\u00a0 education possible<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">From 1993 to 2005 I worked\u00a0 as an expatriate\u00a0 teacher\u00a0 in Botswana\u00a0 dating to dream\u00a0 that these\u00a0 girls would end up in the United\u00a0States.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">My dream\u00a0 was answered\u00a0 when I met Chuch a retired\u00a0 marine engineer, and his wife Sherly .<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">They were serving\u00a0 as Peace Corps in the same school.\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Though\u00a0 they were in Botswana\u00a0 for only\u00a0 one year,we kept in touch with them.They encouraged me and showed\u00a0 me what to do to achieve my goals<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">for my daughters.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">With their help, in various ways\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Lekea graduated\u00a0 from\u00a0 UC Davis\u00a0 Emma from West Valley college\u00a0 and Santa from the University\u00a0 of Miami.\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">I decided\u00a0 to start\u00a0 the Alwa foundation\u00a0 to give back to the community\u00a0 and to give a chance to the girl child\u00a0 just as my daughters\u00a0 and I were given.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1913c2ce elementor-section-height-min-height elementor-section-items-stretch elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1913c2ce\"
