Alwa Foundation is not just a Community Based Organization that supports the communities around with different matters that affects us daily, the Vocational Skilling is not to equip our learners with skills for self Sustainability but also to allow them achieve professional Skills with recognized Certificates from the Ministry of Education and Sports.

By the end of 2021, We had started the Tailoring school department that has so far attracted over 68 trainees most of all are school drop outs due to lack of funds to further their studies and young mothers whose education came to a stand still due to the prolonged effect of COVID 19.

Many young girls had lost hope and tried early marriages as a result of exposure to horrific living during the lockdown but things did not work out for many because even the so called husbands cannot sustain their own selves. This has created an atmosphere were many young girls only got impregnated and left hopeless.

As a Foundation, our mission is help out and equip these desperate young population, through the skills training, counselling sessions from day to day. Physical and moral support among others. Many study at free cost or at relatively very minimal costs

We have registered up to 47 different courses that shall be enrolled according to the needs of the community around from time to time and awarded National Certificates.

We believe this will help this young citizens will rise up to their feet again, It is not easy because the number is demanding but many cannot even afford the little required of them to pay.

Through intervention, we are engaging stakeholders and charity organizations who can support such people and so far 12 young mothers have been supported interms of scholastic materials and other needs.

Thanks to Asayo’s Wish Foundation, Hope Chest Ministries, TASO, CDF and other organizations who have come in to support these young girls.
